CALL FOR APPLICATIONS – ARTIST RESIDENCY

Todi (Italy), 2027 | 7th Edition

1. – The Open Call is reserved for women artists born on or after 1 January 1988 whose artistic practice centres on Photography. The seventh edition of the Residency is devoted exclusively to this medium.

2. – For the whole of May 2027, the winning Artist will have the use of a self-contained, fully equipped flat within a large private estate in a rural area 8 kilometres from the town of Todi (Italy). A driving licence valid in Italy and a car (owned, hired or otherwise available) for the entire duration of the Residency are essential, as the nearest towns offering food and basic necessities cannot be reached by other means.

3. – The Residency is granted solely to the winning Artist. No additional residents, overnight guests or pets are permitted. Smoking is not allowed indoors.

4. – At the start of the Residency, the winning Artist will receive €1,000 as a contribution towards expenses.

5. – Applications must be submitted exclusively via the dedicated online form (Google Form) by 23:59 (Italian time) on 31 December 2026.

The application form is available at the following link:

b) a portfolio of the 10 works the Artist considers most significant;

c) a document briefly setting out the reasons for applying and describing, even in preliminary form, the project the Artist intends to develop during the Residency.

The three documents must be uploaded directly to the online form, each as a single PDF file no larger than 10 MB. Links to external documents will not be accepted in place of the required files.

Applications that are incomplete or do not meet the requirements of this Open Call will not be considered.

8. – Applicants who are citizens of non-EU countries are responsible for obtaining, where necessary, a visa and any other documentation required to enter and stay in Italy for the entire duration of the Residency.

9. – Applications will be assessed by an independent Jury composed of a gallerist-curator, a collector and a third member. The assessment will take into account the quality of the artistic practice, the Artist’s background, her motivation and the proposed project.

10. – The Jury will reach its decision by 28 February 2027. The winner’s name will be published on the gallery website, on the “Residencies” page, and she will be notified by email.

The Artist must confirm her acceptance of the Residency within 5 days of notification. If no acceptance is received within this period, the Jury reserves the right to offer the Residency to another applicant.
